Phenolic Laminate Sheets
DuraSip’s phenolic fiberglass reinforced laminates are structural sheets with high tensile strength and great impact resistance. They are highly fire resistant having the best flame spread and smoke generation rating of all the thermoset resin systems and use no additives to accomplish this. They are water proof, dimensionally stable, and accept a wide range of coatings.

Our phenolic laminates are produced in flat sheets up to 8’ (2.44 m) wide and are available in lay flat cut-to-size lengths or in a continuous roll from which any length size may be cut. Their thickness ranges from .030” (.75mm) to .052” (1.3mm). Their natural color is light pink or orange. They are available as solid sheets, apertured sheets (small uniform openings), and mesh with openings .125” wide up to .5”

The structural properties of the laminates can be optimized for stiffness and impact resistance to match an application or customer’s need. The sheets are generally used to fabricate panels, to reinforce architectural sheet goods like MgO or fiber reinforced concrete products, and the meshes used to reinforce extruded or cast concrete products.

Sandwich Panels and SIPs
DuraSip has a limited capacity to manufacture panels 8’ wide and up to 40’ long. We produce prototype panels for structural testing and proof of concept and supply customers with low volumes of panels for their own use.

  • Highly fire resistant - see video
  • Impact resistance - see video
  • Dimensionally stable – will not shrink or swell
  • Water proof
  • Mold and rot proof – contains no food source
  • Chemical resistant - used in harsh environments – industrial, agricultural, and marine
  • High strength and stiffness to weight ratios
  • Large sizes available for batch or continuous processing
  • Long life cycle – little to no maintenance
  • Can be recycled
  • Readily accepts finishes
    • Paint, Portland based coatings, elastomeric, acrylic, and polyurethane coatings, synthetic stucco, ceramic coatings, and poly urea.
  • Economical and cost effective
  • Engineered and manufactured to meet structural performance needs
  • Non-conductive

Fire resistant, will not contribute to flame
spread and generates little to no smoke
